Wonderful grass, good lighting... perhaps the foreground is a little overly green. Or the background grass a little too brown... very minor things. Excellent work as usual.

Quite gorgeous. You've got complete mastery of all of the aspects. The vegetation overall seems very natural and I do like the tree. As always incredible!

Thank you, David, Rashad.
The trunk is made in Sculptris, crown of Bryce Tree.

Like a postcard, you must've heard it before I guess, but it's true. I get a very calm feeling while looking at your render, that typical dreaming sense you get from observing a postcard.
Technically, I'd agree with David that maybe the greens are stronger then usual, of course there are various photographic lenses, monitors and exposures in the real world that make things appear in various ways so yes, a minor thingy, could be the real green.

I see an aesthetically perfect render, but with a certain composition issue - the main objective of a theme (tree in our case) has to be the main attention attractor. Which means you need to have it in focus (if there's Dof present) or nearer the camera in a way that it pops-out more. It is good that your tree is in the center, but the rock is also centered And nearer to the camera view and it's sensibly brighter then the rest of the obejcts. So it automatically draws attention to itself instead the tree - out title bearer.
That is not a criticism on your image, rather then a way of thinking how the eye gradually identify what is important in the viewport and having in mind what's needs to be done to present it. So in your case the stone could go towards left or right (whichever you feel comfortable with) and get "cut" in the final render. The centered position of the tree will do the rest. As simple as that. Intuitively and curiously enough, you have already taken similar steps in what I described above in some of your previous entries with more complex structure - "Old pond" (the pond is the largest and draws attention), "In the light of sunset" (glasses, fruits, bottle - they're all in the center) and "Steppe" (with the small hut and the tree) - personal favorites of mine. So not only by intuition, but also with keeping in mind the accents of the composition you can never make mistake what's more or less important. Keep up and see you around, Slepalex.

Richter, thanks for your detailed commentary and analysis of my work. You do not often hear in the 3D community like. Usually pay attention to the technical side of things, the texture, modeling, rendering quality, etc. Few criticizes image from an artistic point of view.

As for the shades of green, I have a fairly weak color vision. This does not mean that I'm color blind, but subtle shades of color I can not see. I'll never be an artist, but I like to draw. It's like a lot of people who can not sing, but they sing in the shower. Because they want it, and they enjoy the process. I enjoy drawing.

In the childhood I tried to draw a pencil, a water color and even oil. In my youth I studied photography, read a few books on the basics of composition, production of light, etc. This knowledge is now helping me in 3D.

Now about this work. You are right. The first, on what the look falls, it is a stone in the foreground. But agree, the picture name "Lonely stone" is less esthetic, than "Lonely tree". Next, the look involuntarily rises above, on the second plan where it is the tree, and finally rushes into the distance, into the background. The main thing that a look doesn't stop and doesn't rest against the deadlock. In general, there is artistic such touch when the name of work doesn't coincide with the first object on which the look falls. If a stone to move to the right or to the left, it seems to me that one edge of the picture will be heavier and balance in a shot will be broken. The picture becomes more dramatic and will lose feeling of tranquillity and a pacification. Though...

Excuse for my English.
Yours faithfully, Alexey.
