Backlit Trees
Description: Playing around with that tutorial of Rashad's: Good looking Trees. Five terrains total with David's Dry grass, moss and stone material applied (available here), tweaked a bit. The water is my CalmGreyWater, also available here and a bit tweaked. The sky is out of the library and tweaked considerably. Lit by the Bryce sun and the ambient comes from a white sky dome HDRI I made myself. Thanks to the transparency of the leaves (Rashad's Nothing), rendering was swift, but AA took again 12 times as much, so I ended up with 2/3 days to finish this up.

Cool Horo, very nice scene. I'm just a bit puzzled about the colors of the bushes. The blues seems unnatural, huh?

Very beautiful. I agree with Rebel that the blue leaves look a bit unnatural but I really like it. The water on the bottom left looks amazing.

Natural looking and beautiful! And I do like the bushes. Trees are awesome. I'll have to look into this tutorial soon. The gradient in the sky brings a calm feeling, almost a dreamy one. Five points! No qualms whatsoever.

Wow. Very beautiful, Horo. Everything comes together nicely. The color on the foreground leaves is quite electrifying and lends some unique energy to the shaded areas of this image. The trees are extremely well modeled, and seem to really love the lighting. The backlit lighting solution looks heavenly, I am really impressed! The water sppears to be gnetly teased by the passing low winds. Yes, a certain 5/5!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Yes, the leaves are a bit unnatural looking but it was a deliberate choice for colour balancing. Glad you like it also.

It could be yet a bit improved by making the stems for the colourful bushes in the foreground a bit brighter and increase shadow intensity from 75 to 100. I'm missing a bit of shadows, the HDRI may have washed away.
