Mammoth's Dream
Mammoth's Dream

Mammoth's Dream
Description: A little joke.

Made with Bryce 7.1 Pro. I made the terrains and the mammoth by myself. Textures from the Bryce libraries (mostly by Mr. David Brinnen), a bit tweaked.
A little bit of postwork in Photoshop. I draw the thought bubble and made the mixing of the two pictures.

Great picture, humorous and atmospheric. I think this exactly mammoth was the ancestor of modern elephants:)

Really nice landscape. The mammoth looks nice from this distance. The comic look of your work reminds me of IceAge movie.

The landscape is absolutely fantastic. The part at right reminds me of the Kurf?rsten (east of Walensee). The feel that there is a valley between the foreground and the background mountains looks very real and the haze is just right. For the terrain alone I give you a 5/5. The idea is also very nice. The rather toon-like island is a nice contrast (where's the bottle with the message?). The mammoth and its track in the snow are nicely done as well.

Thank you gentlemen for the nice comments.

@Horo: For the landscape I only can say "subcontours" is your friend.

Very nice. I thought I'd commented on this already, but as it happens Horo has said most of what I would have said with the exception of the bit about Kurfursten - not because it isn't true, but just because I've never seen it. I will trust Horo on this point. Excellent scene, certainly worthy of 5/5 in my book!
