Well, I thought we've finally got rid of the winter. It has indeed a cold feel. Very natural looking and the blue from the sky on the shadowy parts. Everything looks plausible, could be a photograph. 5/5.

Thank you for your kind remarks, I must confess I'm rather happy at the way this one turned out after fighting with this subject for many long hours.

This is pretty much looking photoreal. I think that from a lighting standpoint the image is a true success. I think the scene itself could be built up more, made less obvious as a height mapped terrain, but as a light study I say again this is fantastic!!!!!

Full marks for light alone!

Thanks Rashad! Again, I have failed to be purist about my approach to lighting. Much of the weight is carried by the material. Then there is the optimised light from the IBL which is not approved of from all quarters as you know. The sun is the only "honest" light source.

I like this subject because it offers a great deal of challenge - while at the same time being apparently simple. There is little room for mistakes and, as you know, every choice is costly when working with TA. So it encourages me to work on the optimisation.
