My little garden
Description: There is no place too small for a garden.

The cactus was modelled in Wings3D, the flower pot too. The watering can was modelled in Bryce 7.1. The texture of the cactus was inspired by the excellent tutorials of David Brinnen.

Very good still life! Models are excellent.
A bit of polygons visible on the pot. In Bryce very simply to simulate the smoothed pot.

The stone material is excellent. The pot is perhaps a little bit too "bumpy" never the less, it is a good material and the splashed base is a nice touch. The cactus is clearly the star and you've done an superb job of modelling that. I'm pleased you've got some use and inspiration out of the tutorials. The cactus material certainly looks the part - some interesting "warts" I see? All in all, very well done.

If I were to be critical. And this is just an observation. To my eye the colours seem a little over saturated, I would dial back the intensity of the colours and make everything a bit greyer - but then again. I live in the UK. So I'm more used to a subdued colour palette.

I conscent to all praise you've already got, also to most of the qualms. It is an excellent picture and it fits the title. Full marks from us, too.

Now there is just a tiny thing you might want to experiment with later on. Plant leaves are not massive but there is translucency from the water in the cells. In the Materials Exchange here, on page 2, look out for the Tree Leaf templates from Rashad.
