Orbital Mining Operation
Description: I am still working on this picture. Going to add more detail to the closest station and hopefully figure out how to make the texture look better. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Good work so far. Camera angle is great. I think the black ship is not very goof placed. It appears to crash into one of the orbiting mining stations. Perhaps a bit farther away and more to the left?

Good picture from You again! The main problem for me in Bryce was to accomplish linner illumination of object by texture - as lights, lit rooms and so on. I think it would be great, but don't know how to achieve it in Bryce. Anyway I like your work.

Thanks! I don't usually get very fancy with lighting. Usually I just use the sun and maybe a radial light here and there (its not one of my strong points).

Alexandr - light is more than half for visual art. Try using a couple of dimmed down radials, or if you're working with Bryce 6, experiment with IBL. There is a tutorial how a room could be lit here http://www.horo.ch/raytracing/tuts/online/tut18/minitut18_en.html Rashad and David contributed to it. There are also a few free light probes for IBL on my web site.
