Havn't been very active in Bryce lately, but here I come out with a study in skies and lighting. I tried to make a grey material (Pitted Concrete, Rocks and Stones, third from left and fifth from top) look good with different spotlights and blacklights. The sky (my own creation) helped a lot. Feedback is needed and accepted. Thanks!
Flat landscapes ?live? from the sky. I like what you've done here. I think, what the sky needs is some focus. Say, a pale sun shining through, a bright hole in the cloud cover or such. The water has a funny bump map where it doesn't meet the shore, like foot prints. Overall, the pic gives the impression of a lone place but thanks to the colour not one of cold loneliness.

A sun... I've tried, but even with no clouds the sun will not shine. I've tried the "sun in image" button, also tried moving the sun around 360 degrees near the horizon. The glow is in the image, but no sun. any tips? the bumpmapping in the water is easily fixed, I noticed that about halfway throught the render but was too lazy to fix it. when I'm finished, I'll post the update.

The island looks good, and the texture on it is great. The sky is good, but I agree with Horo, it needs more focus. Try adding a lens flare in, they seem to work for me, so it should work for you too. Personally I find that the water is fine, it seems just right. Overall it's a fantastic image, and I can see you've improved tons :o) Great job once again!

Five... I like it just as it is. But if you must have a focus how about some kind of wildlife - of if you can't lay your hands on the right model, how about a jutting shard of broken ice just catching the sun. Really like the light over the ice.
