GT500 helicopter camera view
Description: I keep having a little go at animations, I find the interface very annoying and unpredicatable and have issues with the way the sky keeps on the move dispite me continually telling it not to go anywhere - so, yes, this is once again on the extreme angle theme, but now it's a radical roating camera shot too. Compression has taken the edge off the image somewhat I'm sorry to report.

I'm the first to comment...wow:)

Anyways, considering the limits on posting an animation, I would say this is great!
Although I do have to say it feels a bit blocky in rotation. By this I mean the timing on the camera rotating is a bit to choppy. Try to keep the distances the camera travels proportional to the time it takes. That is, unless you wanted it to feel this way.
All in all though, great work...amazing sky, lovely scenery.

I take it back

Now that I look at it more and more....I can't see a thing wrong with the timing and distance ratio....
I think to it and realize that the choppinness is due to the lack of frames (which is due to file size constraints)

Good job
and one more thing I love- the reflections on the windows of the car

Hate it

I do hate this one, I feel sick as if I had too much stodge for lunch. It's your first animation, so I won't be too harsh, at least, not until I come up with something better. I did animations before, but get sick at those, too. The base of the picture is known and excellent.

Harshness I don't object to, I'm quite happy to take on whatever intellegent criticim is offered and to some extent I agree that it is hard to look at - however on the plus side it does show of the terrain shape rather well and that is more or less lost in the still. Oh well, I guess, I won't be giving up my day job to work for Pixar! I find the animation side of bryce very confusing I must confess and the need to keep the render time down at odds with my way of working.

Terrain Shape

Indeed, that's one of the plus points in animations, even if a lot of detail is lost due to render time and bandwidth constraints. It shows that your landscape was not just put up in front of the camera like Lego bricks but is a small world. However, a QTVR movie would be an option, as well, if showing the landscape is the goal. However, I dunno whether that would work on this site.
