Description: Another experiment with Beanzvisions HGL system and a model I made thro' manipulating a sphere in Wing3D (which is a very nice and straightforwards - free - and quick to download piece of software). I used a stripey material in alpha channel with blend tranparency to create the ribbon-like effect. Pleased with the general effect and the fact it took only 3 minutes to make the model in Wings!

Looks to me as if a rubber scuba suit was peeled like you peel an orange. The texture fits the crupbled strips.
