The buildings are Greeble City Blocks 39 by Stonemason, the clouds from Cloudscapes 5 by David Brinnen and the Michael (hard to see) from DAZ3D. The scene is lit by Tourbillion Chapel by Horo.

The scene would render quite swiftly in around 2 hours if it were not for the water which took another 7 hours for the anti-aliasing process alone. The main light comes from the front, the visible Bryce sun does not contribute much more than illuminate the clouds. The blue light comes from the side windows of the chapel and the brownish tones shine up through the water from the chapel's floor. Rendered with only 64 quality. I didn't fancy to increase the quality and doubling or quadruple the render time for the few places shadow banding is visible.

This picture was made in 2003.
As you remember, already at that time in Bryce there appeared a possibility of making trees. However, no instance existed then. But I wanted to make an image with a lot of trees. So, in order to create trees foliage in the middle ground, I created trees crowns from stones applying self-made texture...

The pizza, cutlery and wine glass are from DAZ3D; the Utah Teapot is a classic. The environment is one of the latest HDRI I made and I used the 6400 pixel diameter probe. It lits the scene exclusively. On the table is a shadow catcher and above a negative light to create the shadows and make the objects appear on the table.

Actually, all the objects are floating and this could be seen in the mirror ball. So I took a candle out of David's Yuletide_still_life to cover the give away.

The terrain editer is still full of surprises. I stumbled over something new and experimented with it. Just a couple of TE terrains and a Bryce sun. The parts in the shadow are lit by one of my first experimental HDRIs, made with a mirror ball at the time. The terrain material is a derivate of a material created by David and will be featured in one of our next products still in the works. The lake uses Calm Grey waters, available here and slightly modified.
