Impressive Hills
Description: I couldn't find a better name for this one. this was done using David's style of render, and it came out much better than any of my others. made using the same material as my last one, seems to work well. The sky is slightly modified preset, however.

Well...

I liked the previous one better for the freshly fallen snow at high altitudes and the impression of depth. This one has an interesting angle but looks somewhat ?boring? to me, less exiting then the other one. I don't know why it loos less 3D then the other, probably due to the way the mountains are set: left to right. Thanks for the comment on the pic-sky. I'll try that once.

Yes...

I agree with you totally. I much prefer my "Impressive Mountains" to this. It does look less 3D to me. To digress, i am currently having severe computer troubles with my bryce computer (e.g. It won't start). so I probably will not be posting anything for a while.

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I've been looking at your mountains, the shape I is fine and the camera angles, looking good for compositional factors - the photo sky was good but it is tricky not to feel that it jarrs slightly with the rendered part of the image, this sky is not quite as nice as the photo but it integrates better if you know what I mean. I think my main issue is with the material used on the terrains, think you need to dig into the material editor and using a slop controlling element try apply differnt textures taken from snowy terrains and bare rock into channels A and B. It will be worth the effort, but maybe not until you've got your computer fixed eh? Oh dear.
