better, but...

I would reccomend using a different fractal. otherwise, much better.

Well ...

LitoNicos tip was certainly good and good meant. However, I prefer version 1. It looks grand because of the far mountains we see in total. I did not mind the missing detail there. Dusky light, far mountains -- details vanish.

Fractal

Mordor is the one I usually pick for distant mountain try to find one which isn't too spikey in low rez, lock off the procedural generator by ticking the three options in the menu that are seperated for this reason, up the rez to 1024x1024 regenerate the fractal - wait patiently - then up the rez again to 2048x2048 - wait again - this takes some of the spikeyness out of it and paint the edges down in necessary to avoid any embarrasing peeking under the terrain episodes. Great marsh - as you might have gathered my only issue is with the mountains and maybe the lighting is a little flat but afterall it is a marsh and one of the best I've seen in fact I'd have given you a 5 if you hadn't said you were still working on it so I'll only give you a 4 so that you can feel there is still room for improvement so consider it a 4.5 then. Oh well, what does it matter, it's an excellent marsh!
