Looks to me like a smoldering rope. Interesting mat used for it.

That's what I thought. There is some great potential here for a cloud effect I suspect, try applying it to a terrain and putting it up in the sky - see what happens. I'll even give it a four even though I haven't a clue what it is!

Tornado

This resembles the texture used for the torndados in the movie The Day After Tomorrow. I agree that this would make a great cloud material. That's good fire too!
