Cascades
Description: The most elaborate part was doing the cliff with the waterfalls, separate terrains that fit into each other. Somehow, the picture does not appreciate all the labour that went into that cliff.

Yes, it is very elaborate, I'm sure there's a better picture in there to be had with just a few small adjustments. For myself, I'd like to see more shadows on the ground, if you want I'll give you my recipee for natural lighting but not just now because I've got to work, and if you apply procedural materials to the leaves to make the look veiny and put more red in the green or in the sunlight to take off the acidity - maybe, what do you think?

and

I forgot to say, I find that purplerox makes a good material for bark. Sky recipie from left to right.
a= black
b= a slightly orangy white
c= a slightly blue/green white
d= a slightly blue/purple black
On a custom sky;

sun glow colour=b
sky colour=a
horizon colour=c

ambient colour=d value 100
fog (don't bother with) set to 0,0
haze colour=c value between 4 and 10
sky dome colour=d
cumulous colour=b

sun colour=b

let us know if that works for you - or even makes any sense!

Makes sense

Thanks David, it does make sense at last. If I'll ever upgrade Bryce, I'll do so to the english version in order that talk gets easier. Whether the setting works, remains to be seen. I removed the shadows on purpose and applied a rain cube (grey, not white drops) for a rain forest. It looked quite nice, but some rain lines went into depth instead of vertical. I fiddled with it for hours and could see it only in large renderings that took hours each and finally I deleted it unnerved. You know how it is, a project should have an end. Yes, tree leafs do need a bit more attention, trunks as well, when they are near. I'll have to remember that.
