Nice to see my material getting put to good use, so now you've mastered the waterfall look how about having a go at the seashore? Which as you may know the waterfall material was originally designed for that foamy bit of water along the shoreline where the waves have broken down but have not yet settled into the low flat bit that swishes forwards. I'd give you 5/5 but I'm afraid I'm going to have to dock you a point because you upset the composition - the lower fall runs right across the lower frame of the image which also leads your eye right out of the scene. Whereever possible I try to trap the viewer in the image by either focus effect (for small scale), bluring outgoing lines, or interupting them with other objects in the scene. That's my theory anyway!

Regularly rippled

Many have tried that waterfall -- I think David was the first with that angle. I like the basin and continuing with a second fall is very cool. Transparency of the water is really nice and natural. However, I go with David here. The viever is led to drop off the lower edge of the pic and forgets to get back on top, where the action is. The main fall is a bit too regularly rippled for my taste, but it is a great fall, nevertheless.

focus point

Yes, you are both right about the focus point in the composition.
But on the other hand, now you can get a close-up view from the fall also!
Anyway, it was fun to make.
