Vue 4 images
Description: I haven't posted any images lately, but I haven't been idle. these pictures were made in vue 4 professonal, imported into bryce as 2-d planes and rendered with low-power spotlight behind them. sorry nightst4r, i hope you don't mind pictures from another program, but they are bryce rendered.

Nice

Nice pictures, look quite tropical. Vegetation can be done better in Vue then in Bryce judging from what I've seen elsewhere. Program is quite expensive, though.

Yes, nice

Interesting use of logic to get them on the bryce site. Though I'm glad you have because I am always curious about other software - more so when it's someone who's used to bryce because that provides a useful point of reference. The vegitation has worked really well, the lighting seems to lack Teragen clarity, but it matches the tropical feel so I don't know if that is just your choice. So how's the interface compair with bryce and the level of control over lighting and materials and such? And how expensive?

Vue-Bryce

vue's strong point is the plants. they are very realistic and totally customizable. you can even import your own leaf. the lighting is not bad, but I usually only use the "sun". It does the lens flare automaticly, and this can be good or annoying. material presets are very realistic, and it imports picture-textures very well, but procedural materials are very hard to create. the terrain editor leaves MUCH to be desired, but there are some nice effects/gimmicks like stones and pebbles. Price: ?419.00, $600.00, 599.00Euro. if you have a educational licence, you can save half of your money.
