TIR on metal?

Why would somebody use TIR for a solid object? I mean, TIR is good for water and glass, but not for metals lol. Though beanz could've used blurry reflections... oh well.

But...

For it to have TIR, wouldn't it HAVE to be clear? That's kinda what it implies. TIR is when you're underwater, and you look up, and you can see like, the sky, and the lawn chairs, and you can see the pool deck, and then beyond that, you can see the bottom of the pool, and if you're lucky, yourself.

It was a matter of placing a large amount of omni lights on the grid and grouping them together. The light intensity must be low like 1 otherwise the image will be burnt out in a white wash. :)
