it's a crime
Description: i guess this could have been a still life, oh well. anyway some of you have wondered about the mossy stuff on the walls, well all it is ,and if you look closely in this image,it's from the tree lab. the ones in this image are default trees with sumac foliage altered for color and texture, and then the whole tree is flattened out and layed against the wall. hope this explains it.

5/5 Top marks again!

Thanks for explaining about the mossy stuff - that's an excellent idea. I was half expecting you to say it was a pre-rendered image (done in byrce) that you'd imported as a pict texture - but this is much better. I will have to give it a go. And it does a nice job of hiding the perfect juncture between the cobbles and the wall (these perfect lines I believe are always a dead giveaway when if comes to working out how things were done) - so doubly useful. Like the sparse use of weeds and the lighinting - again the content worries me a little... But seriously good work.

Excellent

So, that murder didn't happen in Hoopers back alley after all. Though, it does looks somewhat familiar. I wonder how that chalk outline of the body was introduced into the pic. I'm always fascinated by those details behind the windows: chair and table; bookshelf and framed picture. I understand that you do not just create a pic but part of the environment as well: a small world in itself.
