Winter's comming

Very cold, wet, windy and forlorn: a narrow, deeply trodden path leading through the nowhere home -- or away from home? I hope not.

I see, also motion blur does not help that near snowflakes appear spherical. My attempt last year also pruduced those

I've never came so far north as Derby, but the scene could easily be in the Dartmoor or Exmoor in Devon. The weather was more inviting at the time, I walked there.

Excellent example of ?Less is More?.

Snowflakes

Maybe now with access to winds3d I'll be able to make some propper snowflakes, thanks for reminding me of that, I've had a go in bryce (as you may have noticed if you've looked at my directors cut pic carefully) but using terrains was just too expensive and a grid doesn't lend itself to the angles of a snowflake. I'll have to dig out the br5 file to find the materials... next time I'm updating my site... which I should mention has just been compleated - what a trial. Anyhow, six new pages for you to look at, should you feel so inclined, some you will have seen, some you won't, some you might find you have suggested as modifications to the ones I posted on this site. I'll happily field any questions, should you have any, on the forum if that is OK, only my e-mail is kinda wonky - I blame the spam.
