A tennis ball on some wet pebbles
Description: Wings3d for the outer skin of the ball and the pebbles came off the bryce disc2 and mapped onto a terrain - blur added in Corel photo paint with the aid of a distance mask (a bit of a dodgy way of doing it but using Beanzvisions HGL sysyem kinda precludes using depth of field effect unless you want to render for eternity - hence anyway, the smaller image size - less is more in this case!).

Nice

Nice job, maybe a logo on the tennis ball would make it more realistc.

The tennis ball is definately cool, I love the bumpmapping across it. At first I was afraid to ask how long it took you to do all those pebbles, but then the trick with the mapping saved alot of time. I can support your way of blurring things, mainly due to the fact that Depth of Field is far too time taking, so it's not exactly a cheap way of doing it, i'd do it for sure!

Err.

Well it's gratifying that you think I've learned it but really, I haven't scratched the surface (oh look a pun) anyhow I don't know what to say really I guess I'm just good a blagging it, I just play with stuff find something I think has potential and transfer it to Bryce and try to make something of it. I have a lot of aborted attempts/crashes and such but I don't upload those so I guess that makes me look a lot more proficient than I really am. The only tut's I've located have been links from the wings site and frankly most of them are beyond me. Try the forum on here or Bryce5.net - I know there are a few experts around who might be willing to offer words of wisdom. I just blunder through things makind stuff at random mostly.
