That's wicked! How did you do that waterfall though?! I can make waterfalls, but I can't make them like that! O_O

Ps: I know which level you speak of, love the graphics in Unreal, fantastic.

I know I was just wondering how you bent it like that, that's all. I'm making something to do with a waterfall like that so I know now how to make it like that.

Ps: The waterfall reminds me so much of Soul Reavers graphics at the lake of the dead...

Quake & terrain

I never really finished quake =)
As for bending it, Just start off with a terrain at full height, and paint brush little slightly lower steps as you go. then end it with 0 height. You can curve in any way you want as the steps occur. And you get ur bend effect.

Bending etc

Ya I got what you mean now, as a matter of fact I just completed something which is similar to that waterfall shape(completely different perspective of image though) and it'll be rendered soon enough.

PS: My friend renders my images on Super AA, 1600x1200, and it takes time on alot of images, so i'll try and get him to get it rendered asap.

Ureal looked good this is much better

I like this. The blue sheen is very effective. You make it sound so easy - it really works a treat - so doubt it was that straight forwards.

A very beautiful piece

I can just hear the sound of the gulls and the falling water! A superb and evocative picture, many thanks for sharing it with everyone.

I suspect...

Looking at it I'd say it was a post production effect put in using something like paint shop or photo shop to some such art package. You can do lens flair in bryce but it is very fiddly - I've done it for competitions where you are not allowed to do use other packages - basically it involves the carefull positioning of 2D discs of appropriate transparency and colour/pattern right in front of the camera. If there is another way, I haven't found it yet.

on photoshop lighting effects

you can also use dodge and burn tool do add highlights to the water texture with your brush (dodge tool looks like a lolli). Also duplicating your piccy layer and applying different blending modes and playing with layer masks can do wonders too.
