The Heart of Evil
Description: Ok, so this isn't so gothic, but I still thought it was kind of cool.

Cool? Or did you mean to say hot?

Great lighting, nice flames, pleasingly spherical, the only thing I'm not too keen on is the skulls - partly because I've seen too many now, but mostly because they are lost in that shadows so would appear to be a bit redundant. Not that I'm trying to incite you into a wrathful defence of your skulls... but maybe if they were glass? Or something else entirely? Yes, I can see that as far as the overall composition of the image they balance things up but... I don't know. You tell me. ;0)

Nightst4r I can't vote on this image? Have I broken my computer? Oh well, even considering the skull I'd give it 5/5 but I can't seem to find the button...

Yes, the skulls were the one thing that I wasn't sure about. I knew the image needed something, but I suppose I took the easy way out. Thank you for saying so!

i honestly do like the image but in my professional opinion adding the following to an image cheapens it: lense flare, skulls, skelletons, B/W grid. I recommend everyone keep this in mind when deciding what add do their creepy images.

Swords 'n skulls

I made the swords all by myself. I can't get a good handle, but the blade is good.....and extremely simple! All you have to do is make two elongated, flattened spheres and move one to the side so that the side of it is in the middle of the other sphere. Make them intersect and...kapoof, you have a blade! The skulls are partly made in Wings3D, partly in Bryce. It's a good thing they are hidden in the shadows...they don't look too much like skulls!!! lol There are three spheres in the fireball. One black one, one with the twisty tendrils, and one with my home-made fire texture. It took a while for them to look like this. Instead of skulls, do any of you have something in mind that I could throw in there? I have thought about it but can't think of anything :-P
