Description:	A couple of hours in Wing3D produced this, which is kinda like one of the alien fighting machines in War of the Worlds (this is one from the book not the film) the cage on the back is for holding people, leg numbers vary... anyhow I tried out Bsoloutions fake radiosity effect using 50% reflection, 100% speculative and premium render with blurry reflections ticked. Look in the forum for Links to such and such sites, I recomend this one, it's got some interesting hints on it - like Negitive metaspheres and all sorts.

that looks amazingly like War of the worlds! I would reccomend smoothing it and giving it 10%more reflection. also, make the ground plane a slightly more interesting material. nice job! 5/5!

Next time I update my site I'll put up a few variations, things tinkered and what not. I will be interesting to see what the imact of 10% extra reflection will be, since I'm using the fake radiosity effect I image that will increase the ambient light appearing to fall in the model? We shall see.

I've never heared of "war of the worlds" but this one kind of reminds me of the harvesting things in the matrix that harvest the fields in the robot city. Nice modeling though!
