In this version, the clouds look more natural.
How much does the scene file weigh?

Thank you. The clouds are a Bryce sky, rendered as the 6 faces of a cube several times with different light settings but without visible sun. Combined and transformed to spherical panoramas and then merged to an HDRI. This HDRI is blended to 50% with the same sky but offset by 40 degrees. With quality 32, saturation 100 and HDRI Effect 75 it gives the ambient light with a cool colour. Saved file size is 51 MB, loading needs 210 MB if memory and once loaded 142 MB.

My ol' 2.4 GHz Macbook gets very sluggish with stacked terrains (depending on their materials) - what sort of machine are you using, Horo?

I'm on an old i7 2.6 MHz computer running Win7. This scene was rendered Premium with Soft Shadows, 9 rays per pixel, max Ray depth 4 and IBL Quality 32. It took 1-1/4 hours.

The problem is less the stacked terrains but the materials applied on them can make a render quite long. Depending on the scene, there are several strategies to make it render faster - or longer.
