Yellow Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
Description: I hope, you don't mind me bringing a second version of my ferrari picture.
I changed the color of the car and "planted" a bigger tree, tried to improve the light and took Horo's advice to use a bit of soft shadow. Really looks better.

To light the scene I changed the setting. No HDRI, no IBL. I used the Bryce sun with a bit of soft shadow and dome light to brighten the shadow parts and a distant light to brighten the foliage.

Very nicely done! The sun soft shadows make it look more natural. The sign is a nice detail and also gives a nice colour contrast. Sometimes, small details make a huge difference. 5/5 for me.

Instead of a dome light (nothing wrong with it) you can still use IBL. Just switch off the IBL shadows and you won't be confronted with long render times. On the previous one where I recommended IBL soft shadows I thought the scene was exclusively lit by IBL. If you have the sun as primary light source, using soft IBL shadows doesn't make much sense. Though IBL shadows bring out bump excellently, this is not needed in this scene.

I like this one better. Tha car it'self looks very photographic. I'm not keen on the stone wall, looks a little too soft to me. The car looks perfect in the shade of the tree and the softer shadows do help it. I Like the sign too and like Horo, I think adding little details really improves an imge.
Thanks.
Lets see some more.

The car looks absolutely photo real to me. Really fine work deciding on the saturation for the yellow. Really fine lighting choices here. I agree with Horo, anything a Light Dome can do IBL can also do. I think the benefit of Domes is that one doesnt have to seek out "appropriate" hdri and can just apply the Dome and go. I think IBL lends itself to more specific lighting, and domes are more general purpose, which fits your scene above quite nicely. I just wouldnt want to encourage anyone away from IBL. We have Domes for a reason and IBL as well, their uses tend to overlap a bit, they have similar benefits and drawbacks, both render at about the same speed or at least they should.
