The Blast
Description: The foreground terrain was created from a heightmap of my az-day-light_1280 HDRI and given a Solar Cell material by David. There are 16 identical terrains. The scene is lit by the same HDRI, which is also parly blended with the sky and the huge sun is actually a lamp in the HDRI.

The 4 formost terrains are at 1024, imported as 2048 with 16.bit per pixel. The other 12 in the distance are 512.

Nice might not be the right word for this scene. But it has a interesting mood. I like it. At least the sky has a nice color.

Something about this work reminds me of Richter, not sure why, perhaps its the colors or some other aspect of the composition. This is a fascinating study on terrains. Interesting how large the sun is. The city disappears into the haze nicely.
