Thing in the Ice
Thing in the Ice

Thing in the Ice
Description: Whilst exploring a remote un-named ice-encrusted planet circling a sol-sized star across our galaxy, something in the ice face catches our attention.

"It" appears to be entombed & perfectly preserved in the wind-sculpted ice "dunes".

What is this ancient being? How long has it been there??? 10,000 years? 100,000 years???

I find myself strangely drawn to it, as though an intelligence far greater than mine was inexorably pulling me towards it.

Could it still be.....alive???? Dare I disturb it???

To be continued....

Thanks Horo. =)

Next, I'm working on the Arrival of the mothership....then will have a probe that will explore the iceworld leading to the discovery of the Thing in the ice.

Yeah, once the eyes start taking this image in I find I am still staring at it, wondering what more I might discern from what under the surface.

Hi Rashad,

it is a mystery....I'm glad it has that effect.
Who knows what we will find as we explore the ice planet.

Who were they? How long ago?

That's what I liked about Prometheus....unanswered questions, mystery,
the possibility of sequels. Great story, beautiful CG, but not over-the-top. Vs Man of Steel.....take ear plugs & a No-Doz!
