Cottage
Description: Here is another test to fake Vue render. I’m really proud of this picture because of the way it look. I let you appreciate but to me it deffinitly reache a standard Vue render.

You can see caustics under the bridge, lots and lots of details here and there. The whole scene is taking about 3,5 Gb of memory usage and the saved file is about 900 mb..Plants and trees are from Xfrog bundle, shrubs from Bryce and xfrog. The small wall surrounding the cottage house was modeled in Bryce with boolean extrusion of stones.

House is inspired of Helmut Schaub one and is all modelled by me in Bryce except for the thatched roof made in wings3d. Ivy generator for the ivy. This picture is inspired of the fantastic Vue artist : Dominic Davison.

Bridge modelled in Bryce with a arroway texture bump on it.

Car from the web. Dead tree on the right from walli available here : http://www.wallis-eck.de/2009/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/The_Noble_One.zip

Render in 64 rays/pix T.A mode with S.S.S correction and boost light on, it take 3 days to calculate at this resolution.

Hope you like it.

It is amazing! My computer and my brain will not sustain such a large and complex file. Excellent modeling and scene composition.
The TA mode works well here.
In my view, it was necessary to make a more tranquil waters of 2D Face or Plane and too many shades of blue in the scene.
However, I have a great score of 5/5.

Flawless. The image is so good that my boss found it open on the browser and downloaded and placed it as out office computer desktop wallpaper. This tells me two things. First, that the render is fantastic, but also, that I shouldn't be surfing at work!!! Full marks. If I were to criticize I'd say the water looks a bit solid, not as transparent as I would expect. But that is a minor quibble.

When I started with Bryce a few years ago, I never would thought that it is possible to make such a perfect pciture with this software. I like your idea of making fake Vue renders :-) Plants are superb. Beside of the trees and flowers I especially like the grass on the right side.
I like the water, too. It has a nice color. It reminds me a bit of an mountain stream.
Modelling is wonderful. Full marks!

Thank you splepalex. Well, i've got the same filling than you with the water. It makes me feel that it looks a little bit metalic. The whole picture is looking pastely but it's the best way to fit like a davidson artwork :

Rashad, I will be sad to know that you've been fired because of one of my image!! however, it's good to know that your boss printed it.. I've got on of my work on a wall in the U.S.A!

Thank you so much for your great comments Electro-elvis, I try to do my best with Bryce and to me it's very important to prove that the software can produce complexe scene like vue one.

C-Ram,
Yes, I did see this first as an email attachment. That makes more sense now. I was wondering how it was possible for my boss to have uploaded this picture to the desktop since when viewing images online I rarely download them. However those received in an email would be downloaded. I do remember the email now. Yes, I do receive them and please keep them coming!!
