In lighting ideas David Brinnen are used.
In work my old models made in Bryce are used.
The sense of this experiment consists in attempt of realistic visualization of diamonds on a light background by an example of

work of StuartB4 http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=5262
How at me it turned out? Feedback is very much appreciated.

Nice. I like the image but would like to see the chain links more natural and laying down instead of standing up.

The settings for the one I did were:
No lights - just light from HDRI.
Ambient Colour = Black.
Skydome = Black.

In IBL settings.
Intensity = 14
Specularity = 79
HDRI Effect = 120
Sunlight Disabled.

Rendered with Regular (Normal AA)

Thanks, Stuart. Yes, I know, links of a chain are located not correctly. Too much time was necessary to arrange them correctly. Each link is consistently connected with each other and with the medallion body. Each element has consecutive parental communications. The chain was modeled in the hope that it hangs in the air. I didn't want to model anew. I already used this medallion in other works

The task was only in realistic lighting.

I like quiet a few things in this render:

1. The gold colour looks very convincing.
2. You can see in the reflection of the sphere that you have modelled the whole room.
3. Nice models anyway
4. Good overall lighting. very natural
5. The table cloth is amazingly well done!

Very nice. I agree with Stuart about the chain but in the other two renders it looks excellent. The material on the mirror ball is very good. It gives a very nice blurred reflection.

Wow! You got some caustics working. Well done. Such a level of realism is very difficult to achieve - as you know. 5/5 highly plausible - looks like I could reach into my monitor and pick that chain up!

Whaou... nice ligthning!! we can see caustics in a bryce scene and it's a uncommon effect!

My only criticism will be on the table, I can see some poligonal hard edge. Maybe a model with higher resolution looks better.

But no doubt a 5 on 5 and fullmarks!

Thank you, c-ram. Indeed, the table - it is low polygonal cylinder from the library.
