Tide of Infinity
Description: Hi there!
Here's a render from the last September. I've been into landscapes lately switching back and forth between different software. This time I ended up retouching a Mojoworld render. I made a small planet, "waited" for the sunset and called upon Photoshop for the postwork. It was like the old times when I had this urge, this sudden inspiration to do something in 3d that I was afraid I'd forget :), so several hours of fiddling with the too-procedural-looking Mojo render + a couple more of post-manipulation. I did enjoy the process however. I hope you'll like that piece too.
See ya around!

Very epic looking picture. It is fantastic. Difficult to comment since I never used Mojoworld. I heard that Ken stopped developing it.

Very atmospheric picture. Your scene is showing that the worlds out there are hostile and dangerous. Especially the sun looks scary. I am glad, that I am not out there, but sitting in my cosy room in front of my computer.
Fantastic work!

Amazing work! It is a pity that it is impossible to make such clouds in Bryce. Or is it photoshop?

Wonderful composition, as Horo says Epic. I think it would be possible to have such clouds in Bryce but the render time would be boggling, there might also be "noise" issues - a perpetual problem whenever the rendering bar is raised in Bryce.

Shame that Ken stopped developing Mojoworld as Horo says, I've been tempted...

Beautiful scene.

Thank you, guys!
All the clouds are postworked various photos, re-shaped to fit the idea, as are the cyclon crater and the fine-bump rock erosions, and the planet - re-lit accoring the sun position. Light plasma is a semi-transparent apophysis render.

The mojo-render was simply a fundament. [Here] you can see the alpha render. Faint flat default clouds, clean procedural terrain, even the crescent planet seem a bit off. So all in all - the postwork brought the look I was after.
