A lot of things in your scene are really good, even brillant. The vases, the book, the flowers, the reflecting sphere (great) the ligthing and a lot more.
What I do not like that much, is the texture of the table, this reddish spots within the grey wood. It looks a bit like blood. Another point is the wall, for me it looks like plastic wood. But I am very stern. Don't get me wrong, it is a great scene a deserves full mark for all the nice details.

Thank you, electro-elvis. On the table, I wanted to do the old peeling paint.

Thank you, AngeGabriel.

Excellent scene. I concur with electro-elvis' remarks. In my memory, peeled-off paint has hard edges so this part doesn't convince me. The mirror ball is a nice detail because it shows where the main light is coming from - and also shows that you modelled the room in full and not just the corner.

Thanks, Horo. I understand that the peeled-off paint has hard edges. However I didn't have enough channels in DTE and MatLab to make additional "Bump". Either my experience in DTE is not sufficient... :(

Peeled-off paint is really a challenge to make. I had a similar problem, when I tried to get rusty spots on a metall texture, that needed all DTE channels. I tried another approach. I made a second material just for the rusty spot, the other parts in this material are transparent. And then I laid it over my metall material. The metall was still visible thru the fully transparent parts of the rusty material.
I am afrad, I had not enough time to experiment more with that idea, but it seems to me worthwhile to go on with that approach.

electro-elvis, I am also a reception with transparent textures applied. This has to be the two objects do.
Here I have a composite structure ABC. The channel A main texture of wood. The channel B is "Bump" to simulate the seams between the planks. Channel C controls the mixing proportions.

Quite amazing work here. I am glad you are exploring the use of 3d fills. This is a masterful display of Bryce's power. I could go on for days. Full marks plus 100. Brilliant!!!!
