I tried to tidy up a bit and found these old Bryce objects in dark corner of my room.
I know it is not a masterpiece, but was fun to make. My main interest was the reflection. I used a little bit of DOF and TA. The objects are made by myself mostly in Bryce, the cog wheels are made with Wings3D. The textures of the floor is by David Brinnen. Rendertime was about 15 hours.
Extremely realistic. Not one complaint. Excellent in every way. Full marks naturally

That's a nice one. I pondered a bit over the spheres on top until I realised there are two parts of a broken one. Very well done. I think light and shadows are spot on. 5/5 for sure.

Looks very realistic, the gears look like they have a little blood on them, like some one might have caught a finger in there when they were attached to somthing, Great job.

I'll take the "blood" as rust in this case, although I often support the horror scenario as long as one strives to get such a thing going :) Good one! Your materials is what I like the most in this image.

Excellent light, excellent shades, excellent render. Reflection of a room and a window in sphere is matchless!
The great patience sometimes is necessary for result achievement. 15 hours it are a little!
