This is a fantastic scene, the atmosphere is very good, the light, all the grass and plants, and cows - impressive. If forced, the only thing I could find issue with is the clouds, they looks "gritty and smudgy" check to see that sampling blur is not enabled in the material, this is often the cause of such an undesirable effect. Using a high frequency 4 octave fractal phase in the final combination, in my view, gives more satisfactory results than the sampling blur. But certainly, that minor point aside, perfectly executed rural scene. 5/5

Wonderful

What a great job you did on this, i love everything about it, I grew up way out in the country and in the mornings my brothers and i would grab our guns and head out across the cow feilds and pastures to our favourite hunting spots and this is what it looked liked, Great job, thanks for reminding me.
P.S. Grass looks perfect.

STKydd, thanks. I too have grown in village.

Thanks for council, David. Here following parameters of a phase were used. Fractal/Multifractal, Frequency 19103, Octaves 0, value 21. Really, increase of number of octaves of a phase to 8 corrects a situation a little. I even have entered a phase into the fourth component. All the same these sharp horizontal layers remain visible. Probably, it is necessary to change noise structure.

Hi yes, the horizontal layers is caused by another issue, that can be fixed by either altering the depth of the slab or increasing the quality of the volume material. If you wish, you may post me the .mat and I can attempt to fix both problems by the most efficient means (although I can not promise success, I am happy to try if you want).

Usually fractal/multi fractal Frequency 20,000 octaves 4 value 7 should be enough, but much depends on the overall scale of the slab, camera angle and FOV. There are many oddities with these volumetric mats and so far I have yet to discover a "one size fits all" fix for the problems that arise.

This merits full marks. Elaborate scene with the grass, flowers, cows and trees. The sky and haze fit together nicely. Everything looks very natural.

You are truly a Bryce master! You really know how to build a landscape. I love everything about it. I might have expected slightly more indirect light, since such a white cloudy sky would scatter the direct sunlight a bit more. Still, the overall impression is just right. Your greens are more appropriate than in some previous renders, more green-yellow than green-blue. Bravo. The Superfine AA is also working wonders here.

For me 9 times out of 10 Superfine is not worth the extra render time. In most cases, it is better to use a better lighting quality and apply standard AA, than to use advanced AA but low light quality. Usually, the artist must decide which is most important, light quality or AA, since Superfine AA combined with good lighting can lead to extremely long render times. I think superfine was very much the correct choice here. Bravo Bravo!!!!

David, thanks. I has sent you the letter.
Thanks, Horo.
Thanks, Rashad.
Landscapes - rather difficult theme for me.
