Some fun with the Genesis figure. I really like the new direction Daz is taking the characters. Testing out skin, as well as fabric. I used a special negative specular trick to achieve the look of velvet. I used a denim texture by David Brinnen for the girl's knee length pants modified with a touch of the velvet technique to make it appear aged and worn between the thighs for example.
Lit with three small domes as soft shadow key/fill/and Back Lighting if described in the classical three point lighting terms. There is also the advent of 3D Fill lights and other tricks involved to try and fill in the faked global illumination. Rendered in Bryce 7.1 pro. Render time around 3.5 hours. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks all for your time.
Top marks Rashad, as I said elsewhere, I'm particularly impressed with the poses. Also, as Horo observed, you really have done an excellent job rendering the materials, those jeans are uncannily good. Round his ankles the light and the material are photo-perfect. Has to be 5/5

Those jeans on that dude are no doubt impressive! The set is Bad Guy by Smay available at Daz3d via this link:
The modelling of the pants is excellent. The fabric appears to fall very naturally and complimentary to the male form. The materials are also outstanding. I made the purchase the moment I saw it in the store and with Autofit I can use it over and over and over. I did apply a small amount of velvet technique to the male jeans as well, and it does help add more darkness near the feet of the pants. Most fabrics I produce nowadays will use some degree of this effect because it looks very dry, and it makes fabric appear to have microfibers which all textiles should have especially the more they are worn.
I also used a new Leather texture for the girl on the right's pants. I like how it appears and I will likely do more with leather as well in the near future.
Thanks for the technical feedback. I am thinking that it is all a bit "forward" now, perhaps backing them up from the camera would have been a wiser choice. There are several velvety type things going on which saved me from the need to rely on the image texture uv maps most often required. This allowed me to cram more skin textures in. Still, it is a slight overload for Bryce so this file like the last one did not save in its final form. Oh well. At least i got a render or two out of it before it died.

Well, I commented on this one already elsewhere. What I haven't mentioned yet is the curtain. It looks also very good. Top marks for this render, no doubt.

I know, my comment comes late. But I have to let you know, how much I am impressed about the quality of the skin you have achieved. Really impressiv. Is this the skin texture, that comes with genesis? I doubt it. The clothes are superb, too and the lighting is splendid. Excellent work.
