Dungeon test 9
Description: Lit with Dungeon_1280 from Horo's up an coming Tourbillion series.

Rendered in Bryce 7.1 Pro (about 5 minutes to render).

Incorporates a terrain with a curvature filtered material. A semi-transparent sphere (the moon) and an infinite plane (to prevent light sources from the IBL below the ground clipping the terrain at funny angles).

More of Horo's hdri sets can be found here, http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/artistlist?artist=190409

As usual great render. Great textures, lightning and overall atmosphere. It looks almost photorealistic, as if we were on that strange planet.

Very nice render as always, but to me it seems to be missing something, what that something is i do not know.

Thank you. Well, the thing that is missing is what you want to put in this scene. It will hopefully ship with Horo's completed product and is intended to demonstrate a certain technical effect. Additionally it can act as a starting point for someone to build their own scene - either by incorporating their own content or breaking the scene into components and using them piecemeal.

For myself, if I had the competence with DS, I'd probably try to get a suited figure into the foreground left, climbing the stepped ground, eye level slightly above that of the viewer, helmet removed and dangling from left hand, head 1/4 profile looking up at the sky.

Stealing thunder

Nice picture as always =) Planet looks kinda like cheese... =)

While I got you guys here. I added some facebook and g+ integration to the site. You should be able to link pictures you like right to your facebook wall now by clicking like.

I don't know if I like the FB comments... there doesn't seem to be a way to let u put a custom name. And i have no way of hiding last names, which I think is kinda lame. It would be nice to just show the first name and the comment. So I might get rid of the comment thing all together. Any feelings on this?

The email response is excellent, it gives early warnings to both Horo and myself and we can go in and snuff the robots before they get too embedded. Horo is obviously up and at it at the right time to deal with these guys, since he seems to catch more than me, but occasionally I get in there first with a fell stroke.

To early to comment on FB inclusion. It might be just another way to attract spammers...

And yes, the planet is made of cheese, blue cheese, the very best kind of cheese.

Impressive terrain, nothing "out of the box". The moon is excellent and the sky colour gives this picture a calming note. No focus, but this was intentional. A lot can be done with this.

Nighs4r - yes, the emails come. Thank you. The forum seems to need a bit of attention. I delete comments and ab-users at the rate of 6 to 8 times a day.

Super details. Reminds me of some of the early Mojoworld renders.

Thanks! Yes, I really like the terrains I've seen in Mojoworld - certainly would like lateral terrain displacement in Bryce!
