Texture Baking experiment
Description: Bryce 7.1 Pro render. The ambient information in the terrain has been captured in another render (Using TA) and placed inside the material and rendered here using IBL. The terrain was initially generated using DTE so that the foam material could be generated to follow the coast. And the volumetric clouds are those I provided free with Bryce 7.0 pro.

Looks very nice. I assume the baking technique was used to speed up the render.

Luckily, the techniques used are all covered in the forthcomming Bryce Mentoring DVD.

Very nice result in baking and overall picture. I'm waiting impatiently for the DVD. It would be interesting to know some secrets of masters.

This little piece of rock looks great! I like the foam following and surrounding the coast.

This is a nice seascape scene.

As it happens, this precise texturing process is not one that is covered on the DVD - trapped in the DAZ PARC system since early April I have two products, Stoneheap and Rockfall. These respectively cover advanced rendering techniques, concentrating in detail on IBL and TA and methods and approaches to achieve optimised results (and using as yet undocumented processes). I had hoped to have these published by now, but problems with DAZ's new website seems to have continually thwarted any progress.

I gave serious consideration to adding these products to the DVD, but their combined content is in the region of 2.5 gb. Which would have meant these would have been the only additional content and as they are a rather specialised area of interest, I thought it would be better to provide them only to those who had a pressing desire for such arcane knowledge.

Another brillant picture. Before I saw this, I thought David has probably touched the limit of Bryce. Luckily, I was wrong. With this marvellous picture you have achieved IMHO a new level of realism.

beautiful

I like very much the sand and the shoreline. Also the reflected image of the island on the sea. Do you feel it would be better with some other in scene?

Thank you. Well, I could add more... but I don't like to clutter my scenes. It makes them easier to work on!
