Jungle
Description: Hello everyone!

This image with instanced palms has more than 100000 trees bodies.

The scene can not be saved because bryce bug for an unknown reason ..

This is and will be my last picture made with bryce .. I found my way with terragen 2 recently and I must admit that since i've tested it, my decision was quickly made.

Both are fabulous soft can not comparable but bryce suffers from a considerable delay facing this formidable competitor.

The new shaders, volumetric clouds easily editable, the fake stones and procedural instancing objects are all elements that made me look for this new choice.

This is not adieu, just goodbye.

Long live bryce!

Grandiose scene! From me an excellent estimation!

Reason of savings error are known:
1. The size of a file of a scene more than 200 Mb.
2. Volume of occupied memory more than 2 Gb.
3. Presence in a scene of a considerable quantity of raster textures of the high resolution.
The quantity of polygons isn't so critical at all.

Here this scene (http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=4500) at me too hasn't remained after Michael's addition. I have kept only a picture. More than three characters from Daz with textures of high resolution Bryce don't maintain. :(

Therefore I try to use as much as possible procedural textures and as less as possible the raster.

Certainly, Terragen 2 in many parameters surpasses Bryce. However, we will hope that Daz will go forward in this direction.

The stern warning: c-ram, if you leave Bryce, I will not comment on your work (joke)!

I hope that my clumsy English is clear enough. :))

Beautiful scene. So many trees - you have mastered instancing.

Strange, I came from Terragen to Bryce but that was still version 0.9, not 2. In earlier times, Terragain had much better clouds than Bryce but it could not do vegetation.

Now with Studio 4 on the shelves, Bryce has resumed some activity again. Sad that you abandon it. Every great artist helps making Bryce popular.

Thank you all for your great comments!!

@slepalex:
You can use large adress aware to make bryce able to use more than 2gb memory. The best condition to use this trick is to run bryce on a 64 bits system.

This is fantastic Bryce work!!! Full marks. The minor quibbles would be the visible roots here and there. Otherwise, looks amazing!!

Terragen is a wonderful application, but from what I have seen it is rather limited in what it can do well. Terragen is a very good landscaper.

Bryce is not nearly the landscape generator it thinks it is. Bryce is a much more general purpose tool and for that reason I feel certain you will be back to Bryce soon.

fantastic

This is really a high end work. I am astonished by the complex scene but I like very much the view point and general composition.
Sometimes software crushes, often when You push the performance to the edges.
For beginners, as me, this kind of works means a lot of stimulations.
Hoping my words are clear in so poor english.
