Vertigo Race
Description: The race is on!! Clibbing from the background to the foreground you
can see: a Citro?n DS3, a Wolkswagen Scirocco, a Renault M?gane3
Gordoni, my 500 Abarth and an Audi TT2 2.0TFSI.

Once again this is another panoramic render. T.A 64 rays/pixs with
scattering correction.

Playing with spikes terrains. This landscape is fully modelled in
wings 3D and i've use bryce to intesect it with my spiked terraformed
parts.

I find the result very good with all this grass surrounding the road.

There is about 3000 instanced trees and this was really a challenge
placing them all to compose the scene.

Render in about 18 hours on my new predator G5910 with a core i7 2600k
overcloked to 3,8ghz.

Hope you like this, comments are welcome.

When I saw this in the Bryce DAZ gallery, I guessed correctly it was your work. This is a brilliant perspective/composition - I should we working now but instead I'm admiring this piece. At moments it feels both huge and tiny, on the verge of looking like a model where the cattle is, while on the left, where the road curves behind the trees, highly convincing. I really like this effect, even though it may not have been what you were aiming for. The grass/rock/tree combination works very well and I'm not surprised it took a while to render with all that detail. Has to be top marks, of course. Spectacular!

Thank you for the comment David! I'm a bit disappointed by the final rendering of this image and as a rule the quality of the new engine under bryce in scenes with high complexity.. Yet I learned a lot with your tutorials and those from horo about the development of atmosphere. Here, for example, i find that with true ambiance mode, the shadows remains blocked. I tried using fill lights but nothing has changed. I've find the isue in photoshop with the use of a collorimetric correction filter.

Excellent scene. Looks very convincing. The landscape is beautiful, particularly the left part, the green at right is a bit bright. I agree with David that it looks like a model at right but real on the left. The background terrain with the trees is truly fantastic. 5/5 from me. Great render, indeed.

Almost a bit frightening from up here. This transcends any expectation of Bryce output from the average user. You really are very good at this. Masterful work in yet another example. As expected, you have done the impossible with Bryce. Every choice here is brilliant. Don't know how you think of these things, but your scenes are always first rate in execution and technical merit. I LOVE it!

Full marks is a given with you c-ram!

Great amount of detail! I wonder if the cattle and other mid distance props would look more realistic with some haze or a a bit of DOF blurring done in post.
