The clouds look very naturally, the water too. I love the little boat. It gives the whole scene a certain liveness. The terrain is convincing.I find the green textures of the trees in the foreground a bit less natural. And the shore line looks too uniform. I know it is very difficult to achive. All in all a very good picture.

Thank you electro-elvis. Yes the "skirting boards" (Fussleisten) around the terrains are disgusting. The material on the terrain - I was also disappointed how it looks nearby when I had the final render in front of my eyes. I appreciate honest comments. We try and learn.

This is a nice bryce pict horo! The water look good to me and the little waves on it fit perfectly with the whole scene. The mountains texture is a bit grainy and the banks on the lower side of them are to uniform but these are minor critics. The clouds are wonderfull. F?licitations! 5 sur 5, cela va de soit.

The clouds do look great with one exception. If you look at the upper left they have a weird almost banded look. It's really strange because the rest of them look great.

The the noise in the terrain material is too course and doesn't look natural. The terrain topology is very good though. Then there's the uniformity of the beaches that definitely doesn't look narural.

Don't get me wrong though. This is a whole lot better than I can accomplish. I'm just being honest about the details. ;-)

Merci c-ram, tu est trop gentil.

Spektyr - I haven't noticed. It's a question of the quality setting for the cloud mat. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

I must say Horo your landscapes are very natural looking. Those clouds are excellent, however there is a tad bit of overly blurred effect applied, I still get the overall intention quite clearly.

The water's edge could use some blending, but I have my own issues with that so I am not one to throw salt.

We need some 3d vegetation here, painted vegetation via procedural texture has limits on plausibility. In terms of the boat, I think having some trees around would provide a scaling reference for the viewer.

Goodness, those darned clouds are sooo good!

Thank you Rashad. There are a few loose ends in this render.

As far as the clouds are concerned, there is a video showing how to use David's Cloudscapes for your own scenes:

David's clouds are great! I tend to use real world scaling from start to finish, so my cloud planes are measured to appear in the sky at the true altitude they arrive upon in nature based on the height of a V4 import. I have tried to manipulate them to my scaling needs before but it seems Object Space mapping breaks down completely at a certain point.

I had hoped that having 3 decimal places in Bryce 7 would have allowed enough control but so far this is not the the case, I would need yet one more decimal place. World Space mapping however seems to be the only solution I have found, but this mode does not allow the fun cutting in quite the same manner, though some degree of cutting still occurs with World Space mapping.

Compromises. If only we could import V4 at the scale we choose, then I would not need to build entire worlds at such a large scale. I should explain that I build the world this way because of how slow making changes becomes in complex scenes, don't want users wasting tons of time rescaling their imports.
