Very convincing stone wall. Is it a photo or a procedural texture? Good composition and the foreground fits nicely in the hdri background.
And I envy you for the ability to populate your pictures with persons. Overall Very good picture.

Few critics. Phototextures of foreground are blurred too away or have the low resolution and look unpersuasively. Too concerns a background texture (HDRI). The dissonance turns out.

Thank you for your kind comments. The ruin and also the stones and grass in the foreground is a model from DAZ3D and photo textures are used on those. The grass is too near for the render size and the lowest part rendered pixelated. I had to blur this a bit in post production. Cutting off that part would have been the better choice. The HDRI is for this size and camera FOV a bit low res. I run Bryce 7.1 in the high memory aware mode and had a memory footprint in excess of 2 GB already, so I feared that the hi-res probe would be too much.

Yes, you've done a good job with the figures. The issues with the foreground texture resolution have already been touched upon. I would like to see this image rendered with a slightly lower level of light from the hdri and possibly IBL shadow intensity between 60 and 80 (to help with the deep shadows inside) and possibly a bit more direct light from the Bryce sun. Would be my suggestion. Not that I do not like the lighting as it is, but I would like to see the effect of that on the overall appearance of the scene.
