Nice image! Reminds me of Independence Day.

Thanks for the links....I'll check them out.
Only suggestion is to soften the shadows some.
(I know as Horo has mentioned it to me in the past =)

I don't know how to do it selectively...the shadows in the background seem a little sharp.

But it would probably work to add the shadows in
in Photoshop instead of in Bryce, at least those farther away since you can't see ground details

Good work. There are a few tricks that could be employed to further integrate the shadows. Here's a link to the video thread where they can be learned. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=145803

Here also can be found video's by Horo explaining some of the complexities of IBL and how to take best advantage of the new features in Bryce 7
