That's a nice one, I like it a lot. Very nice details. The only thing I see that could be improved are the black shadows. Perhaps reducing shadow intensity in the light lab would be enough - or a very few fill lights.

Thank you, Horo. You are right about the black shadows. Now I do see it. The work was done over a year ago, and some models for 4 years. Could weaken the shadows in the Sky Lab. But in Bryce 5 "fill lights" were not. -))
Here the source is the Sun and front lights from the camera.

With fill lights, I meant a few radials with casting shadows disabled and cleverly posed. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, I understand. I usually do well. Here, apart the Spotlight from the camera, there is still Radial Light to illuminate the knife blade. Both with disabled shadows.

A nice earthen sort of image. Very simple and very soothing. I like the implication of two persons. Without any idea who the two parties are, we are likely to assume as viewers that they are partners in some tangible way.

I do think you would find the tools in Bryce 7 to be very much what the doctor ordered. Your mastery of manipulation of Bryce 5 lights is exactly what one needs to bang Bryce 7 renders that really pop!! Very nice work once again!

Thanks, Rashad. This work was born spontaneously. Tried texture wood stumps. Then added details. Models were manufactured in advance. Therefore, the work done quickly.

Bryce5? Wow, I can't wait to see what you could do with Bryce 7 pro. Very good piece, nice material choices, I think Horo covered the main points already and truely.

Edit, when I saw the title I confess I was thinking of another Roadside Picnic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadside_Picnic

Thank you, David! Have you read "Roadside Picnic" Strugatsky brothers?
Of course, my picture is not related to this product. But the name I "stole" from Strugatsky.

I have indeed read "Roadside Picnic" and enjoyed it. I am also a big fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, but not so much as my friend Stuart who has gone to Whitby today for "Goth weekend" dressed as a Stalker, complete with 3mm armour plated kevlar suit and respirator. I think it is possible to take admiration for a video game too far, thing being a case in point.

David, ha-ha! Some of my friends in spite of its age, too, are in S. T. A. L. K. E. R. I feel sorry for the time to do so. However, A. Tarkovsky film "Stalker" 30 years ago watched with pleasure.

My stalker obsessed friend has the film "Stalker", I've not seen it yet. Maybe one day... The game was more action orientated I understand and the film by comparison may seem a bit tame.
