Nice photo, flying soucer blends in nicely. Now you do this in Bryce. Seing just the upper part, I thought these were David's clouds. Obviously, nature started to copy them ;)

@Horo. Thanks for that, but I think maybe you are being too generous.

@Megacal. If you do the landscape, I'm preparied to tackle the sky and clouds. Then the front edge of the saucer would be reflecting a matched portion of sky colour.

Hi guys,

glad you liked the image...I wasn't sure if it qualified for the Space folder as it is on Earth.

I actually did take the pic on break the other evening....we went from 111 degrees F on Monday to 80 F & beautiful clouds on Wednesday.

Horo,
it's an jpg based on an HDR based on 3 jpgs +/- 1 f-stop usingDynamic Photo HDR to put them together. (my Lumix-2 can only do +/- 1 f-stop on Auto).

David, did you mean use an HDR as the landscape or use a mesh(i.e.preset)? Sounds interesting & fun.

I just put the image in the material of a plane perpendicular to the camera & saucer.....totally
winging it.

Ah - +/- 1 f-stop doesn't make an HDRI, a DRI (dynamic range increased) at best. But it IS better than only one shot. I usually cover 10 f-stops for an HDRI.

Rashad,
glad you liked it....I was lucky to see it and
be prepared....couldn't get around the pine tree in the middle.

Horo,
my images are "LDRI's" but sufficient for my purposes. =) A range of 10 f-stops would be impractical for me.
