Description:	A remake of http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=106&mode=search using the instancing lab to place trees. Not as simple as it sounds, thanks to the instancing labs tendency to crash at the slightest provocation. The lighting is TA again and as you can see, the road terrain resolution is rather too low and steps are visible along the verge. This was shown up by the new lighting approach. Render time about an hour. In spite of 64 rpp - quite a lot of noise is evident in the foliage. The lighting however is pleasing, but not I feel very realistic.

This is the UK, obviously, the sign is on the left side of the road. The scene as such is very nice and the lighting very pleasing. As you say, the road itself is not as good as we'd like it and the noise is evident at the nearer trees. What I like most is the forest and the slope in the middle distance at left, above the arrows. That part looks most realistic.

This is a good example of the TA shrinking the scene, but the effect is most pleasing still. Not sure how to overcome that side effect of shrinkage, but likely there is a remedy. Haze seems to have some benefit in overcoming that. The vegetation hues are a little unusual as I look at this render, I might have expected a little more green but the warm shades are also very pleasing.
