Pick and Mix (Bryce 7 pro)
Pick and Mix (Bryce 7 pro)

Pick and Mix (Bryce 7 pro)
Description: Horo's hdr backdrop "Furka" (whatever that means - hope it is not as rude as it sounds) used as an indirect lightsource for this TA render. Softened sunlight provides direct light. Render time 4 hours thirty. Volumetric clouds from and terrains from which I made so, you know, that's got to be fair enough right?

This left me free to focus on the blending of the light, haze and overall ambience to try and integrate the hdr backdrop as best I can into the render. I confess to being pleased with the results.

Furka is the name of a mountain pass, 2500 m (about 7500 ft). The rock formation hides the Rhone glacier, the source of the river Rhone. So much for geography.

I've got to give you a 5/5 for this one. The way the clouds blend into the sky and the fading of the terrain to the left make this an incredible render. If you had the patience to wait 5 to 10 times longer for the render to complete, you could have used soft shadows for IBL. It looks very dramatic the way it is.

This reminds me of the scenes in the "the lord of the rings" movies where the camera sweeps across the landscape. Excellent render!
