Red green and blue (Bryce 7 beta)
Description: Volume clouds,
Rice... which is grass... and spikey terrains,
Back to clouds again...

Some Bryce projects in a variety of version of Bryce 7 beta - not all intentionally - it can get rather confusing having Bryce's 2, 4, 5, 5.1, 5.5, 5.5rc4, 6.1 which thinks it is 6.3 - anyway, I'm fairly sure all these are Bryce 7 and absolutely sure I need to clear my HD down pretty soon before I run out of space - again...

The top image looks almost like CEL shaded, not much needed to give it a toon look. This might be due to the silouhettes of the trees and the saun that is very well defined, almost as if looked through fog. The clouds are outstanding and the colour choices are excellent. A very moody picture.

Difficult to judge in this size but it appears that the nearest foreground is the weekest part, but than, perhaps not. This valley looks very nice and peaceful. The water and the rice plants with the haze and the far mountains look very real. Needless to say that those two trees make all the difference.

The clouds, sky colour and the far mountain range and how it is lit are imprccable. I'm not completely sure about the sun. It looks very good, but also somehow weak. Mayhap this is just me. Perhaps if that cloud near the sun would cocver it a bit more, it would look more plausible. But as I said, this might just be me. Doing most of my photos of the sky as HDRI, I might have gotten a bit a distorted view of things.

To sum it up, it is difficult to give advice how to improve anyone of the pictures. If they can't be improved upon, they must get top marks; q.e.d.

Thank you. The grass is just lots and lots of the stuff that shipped with Bryce in the object libuary. I tried instancing but I don't think it worked for me and used just lots of objects in the end creating a massive memory footprint.

And Horo, yes you are correct, the sun is weak. I should have hdri'd the background and superimopsed just that image, that really gives it a boost I've found.

Those are very beautiful. They don't even look like Bryce renders. MIddle one is my favorite.
