Description: Ship model and city created in Maya. Textured and rendered in Bryce 6. Still working on making the sky more 3D. Comments & suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Wow! I think I love this model. It looks like a truly space-worthy vehicle. I also like the general approach you have taken with the lighting to reveal as many of those geometric details as possible. This is very impressive work Mr. Zelinsky! I can see this in some movie or game any moment now.

Thank you! I added a radial light to the bottom of the ship so you could see some of the detail.

I forgot to add in the description that this is 3 renders, one of the sky, one of the ship and one of the city. The sky was rendered with an increased DOF. The ship and city were rendered with the same lightning, just without the clouds so I could have a neutral background merge the images later.

If you know anyone making a game that needs the ship let me know. :-)

Beautiful model indeed. The city in the distance looks good, too. The lighting brings out the 3D-ish look of the craft beautifully.

The model is excellent and you have done a superb job with the lighting. A more 3D sky could work against you here in that it may draw attention from the focus of the image. My only criticism is frameing, in that the nose of the ship seems a bit close to the left edge of the image. I'd give the model a bit more space. A minor point.

Now that you mention it, it could be a bit more centered. Thank you.

In my opinion, having the ship off center adds a bit of realism, in that as you saw this, you grabbed your camera and snapped the pic before the moment was gone. Lighting and modeling are spot on.
