Good, I liked the first one more. Perhaps two terrains was a bit much or the bump setting is a bit high. The technique you employ to create the cityscapes is excellent.

I love it. I disagree with Horo, this one is much better than the previous, seems more lived in. Lighting is excellent, and the slight dof I think I sense is working well too. there are many advantages to working in premium mode most of the time.

@Horo, I know exactly what you mean about the bump. The idea here, rather than recapituate what I did with the first image, was to push the cityscape towards an almost abstract pattern, I think with a little more complexity the brain would give up trying to see this as a 3D scene and respond to it instead as a flat texture. As for the technique, it is as with most things I do, driven by the DTE and many hours mucking around with procedruals.

@Rashad, yes your observation about premium mode is very true, but excludes those with slower computers. As you know I've just upgraded and with the impressive capabilities of the i7 processor I am seeing Bryce premium renders in a new light. Not everyone will appreciate the results in the same way, I do so because I rarely interest myself in complex scenes so spend a great deal of time making almost minute changes to settings to get exactly what I am looking for. If, on the other hand, I were constructing a massively complex scene comprised of 1000's of objects, it would just be impossible to commit as much attention to details as I would otherwise.

Lighting - very very good, render quality - Vue-like, slight dof by the far "edges" - smart move, helping even with how the viewer will perceive the scale of the whole cityscape. I see this work of yours as almost complete scenery, with the only minor issue of having all of the tallest buildings an equal height, making them look on the "maquette" side. If there was some larger skyscrapers in both height and width here and there and bolder view of the sky with your amazing clouds - that'll hit close to 10/5, knowing your dedication to the subject.
