Nice flashes, you added them with a graphics app, I take it. Good start, but this one is not yet complete. There's still a lot of potential to make it more elaborate, if you wish.

"Apocalyptic desert", that's what's coming to my mind when I look at this picture. Alongside the above comments I can only add that you should use higher resolution terrains, such as 512x512 as the low limit. They take more ram memory, but it is worth it when you have such spiky shapes in foreground. The material is good btw. Just a small bit more definition in detail on the close terrain and you're ready to go.
