!

Now THAT is awesome brcye work! You, my friend are a true master of bryce. But it seems that you edited it in photoshop or something? I don't know, the way it looks just makes me wonder if it were edited in some way.
Other then that it's incredible.

Post production editing

In answer to Frozencry's editing question:- Fade correction set to 45 in paint shop pro 7, it's a kind of one stop brighness/colour/contrast gamma solution for photographs. Original image as produced by bryce looked a bit washed out. For best results with post production I use 48 bit dithering on the render - that reduces the risk of any banding in the darker colours appearing when the image is gamma'd up the gills!

Well...

I used a slope sensitive material (one of my own invention) for the ground which I generated in the terrain editor - several layers of bluebell blobs using the same terrain - the material for that mostly blend transparency - adapted from one of the terrain presets - lots of trees obviously and fiddled around with the light and eventually put an additional "sun" in the form of a big bright light on the left (off shot). Tutorials on my website - eventually - in the mean time I'll see if I can sort out some more material resources. Bluebells possibly - dunno what people might be interested in.

My trouble not yours

I haven't had time to write any yet - doh - still got lots of work to do! Some resources are there, like the bluebell wood terrain - I'll keep putting stuff up when I can find the time! Sorry.

Path

I've treaded that path many times, its near home in my favourite forest - only the trees are pines in reality. How is the path done?

Easy when you know how...

The material for the terrain (downloadable on this site or my own) has a slope sensitive component so once I had fractaled up the terrain in the terrain editor I painted in the path (nice and level see) and lo it was left bare by the material. It's probably easier to demonstrate than explain so why not download the material and have a play. It's one of my best efforts material wise so I'm rather hoping someone will do some pics with it!

Oooh, I forgot.

BTW the bluebells are added in another layer, it was one of the presets that was supposed to look like flowers (which to be fair it does a bit) I took that made it mostly transparent and changed the colour to blue. That's why the bluebells are not on the material I uploaded.
